Kia has formally confirmed our earlier report that its new 2025 Tasman ute will be unveiled on 29 October at the Jeddah Motor Show in Saudi Arabia. The global reveal will be live-streamed on the Kia Worldwide YouTube channel at 6:00 pm Sydney and Melbourne time. Teaser videos have offered glimpses of the vehicle, highlighting features like an embossed Kia logo on the tailgate and the brand’s signature design elements.
The Tasman has been in development for months, with testing carried out across key markets including Australia, Korea, and the United States. Kia claims to have completed over 18,000 rounds of evaluation, with a focus on off-road and towing capabilities. The vehicle is expected to feature a 2.2-liter turbo-diesel engine, similar to the one used in the Sorento, with a possible power boost to compete with rivals like the Ford Ranger and Toyota HiLux.
Customer deliveries are set to begin in the first half of 2025 in Australia, the Middle East, South Africa, and South Korea, with Australia identified as a key market for the new ute.
