Kia Tasman Canopy Options

The Kia Tasman has quickly gained traction as a serious contender in Australia’s dual-cab ute market. With its rugged underpinnings, locally tuned suspension, and strong towing capability, it’s already being put to work by tradies, travellers, and off-roaders alike. As with any workhorse ute, one of the first upgrades many owners look at is a canopy — and several major brands have stepped up with options for the Tasman.

While we already have an Accessories page, we’ve found it’s quickly being overwhelmed with the variety of canopies. Therefore, we’ve created a dedicated page to highlight the canopy options for the Kia Tasman, including those in development and already on offer.

MITS Alloy

Type: Aluminium tray and canopy combos

MITS Alloy is already developing full canopy builds for the Tasman, including tray and canopy packages with optional under-tray toolboxes, rear drawers, spare wheel carriers, jerry holders, and more. Their systems are built for serious off-road touring and are a go-to choice for those planning remote travel or setting up a full 12V electrical system.

MITS Alloy canopies are fully Australian-made and use marine-grade aluminium. Purchased by ARB in October 2024, so the metal canopies purchased through ARB will be made by MITS Alloy. They also support GVM upgrades, which may appeal to owners running a GVM-limited vehicle build.

ARB Canopies

Type: ABS plastic canopies

ARB has confirmed it is developing its popular range of canopies for the Kia Tasman, including the Classic, Ascent, and Base Rack-compatible models. These light-weight canopies are ideal for those who want central locking, colour-coded panels, and sliding or lift-up windows. Popular amongst tradies, the Ascent series even integrates with the vehicle’s remote locking system and has an inbuilt rear spoiler and LED interior lighting.

While availability may vary by model and region, expect to see ARB Tasman fit-outs become increasingly common through ARB’s nationwide network, which will also include MITS Alloy products.

Utemaster Load-Lid & Canopy Range

Type: Aluminium gull-wing canopy and hard lids

Utemaster’s Centurion Canopy has become a favourite among tradies and fleets due to its robust aluminium construction, full-width side opening doors, and central locking. It also provides easier access to gear compared to traditional rear-only access canopies.

Their Load-Lid option — a hard tonneau lid made from aluminium — is also expected to become available for the Tasman, appealing to those who want security and weather protection without the bulk of a full canopy.

Obro Canopies

Type: Steel canopy

Obro’s Half-Top Canopy is perfect for campers who want to fit a rooftop tent while still fitting into underground carparks. It features a robust modular frame that delivers excellent structural rigidity and vertical load capacity, and has double-layered side doors, which not only provide easy access but can also double as a stand-up table when camping.

The canopy also includes a perforated side panel, allowing for practical attachments such as a shovel and axe bracket—ideal for off-roaders who want function without the full cost of a high-end touring canopy. With its rugged steel build and smart design, the Obro Half-Top is a great entry-point canopy for adventurous Tasman owners.

Bodyline Automotive

Type: Modular stainless steel alloy

The Titan Hybrid Canopy from Bodyline Automotive is purpose-built in Melbourne for the 2025+ Kia Tasman, featuring a hybrid construction with a stainless-steel frame and lightweight aluminium panels. Finished in a durable matte black powder coat, it offers 165 kg dynamic and 450 kg static load capacity, with weather-resistant seals, dual compression locks, and a honeycomb security mesh on the rear door for added protection. The canopy is DIY-friendly with a no-drill, clamp-on fitment and includes a high-mount brake light and USB-powered interior LED light.

Designed for both work and adventure, the Titan Hybrid also caters to pet owners with optional lift-up side panels that include built-in pet windows—available on the driver side, passenger side, or both. Whether you’re commuting, touring, or heading off-road, this canopy blends practicality, strength, and everyday usability for Tasman owners.

Norweld

Type: Aluminium tray and canopy

While not officially announced at the time of writing, Norweld — a favourite in the touring and overlanding community — is likely to offer canopy systems for the Tasman given its popularity. Known for their “Build Your Tray” configurator and bulletproof quality, Norweld is a premium option for those looking to go all-in on their vehicle setup.
